With a fleet of 43 aircraft and growing, Chartair is one of Australia’s leading general aviation companies. We serve some of the most remote communities in the country and operate out of two main bases in Darwin and Alice Springs. This role potentially could be full time or part-time depending on the suitability of the individual. This position will be based in Darwin.
JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ABOUT THE PERSON
The person needs to be a team player not only within finance but able to collaborate between departments within the company and externally. The person will be logical, technical and able to think laterally. Ideally have a broad accounting knowledge with a strong emphasis on Data Analysis and Cash Management. You'll have excellent communication skills, proficient and professional with a friendly approach to debtors to maintain a strong rapport.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- Data Analytics – able to manipulate and extrapolate varying datasets. Comfortable using Marcos (Editing and creating will be mandatory).
- Invoicing – understanding and experience in producing invoices from various systems. Ability to import and export data using excel manipulation methodology. Previous experience with Sales contract processes is an advantage.
- Customer queries – This is where you will need your people skills. Ensuring all correspondence and issues in relation to customer requests are dealt with immediately and concisely.
- Good understanding of credit control parameters, and ability to refine and ensure credit terms are maintained.
- Meeting strict deadlines as part of month-end – Bank reconciliations, BAS, Provisions & other accounting deliverables.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Excellent attention to detail and not afraid to question the status quo
- Sound intermediate / advanced Excel experience
- MYOB experience
- Worked within the aviation sector will be a distinct advantage.
Salary will be negotiated based on experience.
